Under the Military Housing Privatization Initiative, all soldiers who choose to live in privatized military housing will receive a BAH to pay the privatized housing provider. At Scott, the monthly allowance is paid automatically to Scott Family Housing at the end of each month. This process is led and overseen by the Military Assistance Company, LLC (MAC), the world`s largest processor of automatic payroll deductions for military and public servants. A lease is a standard resident agreement used by all privatized military housing and conventional (civilian) rental property. Residents must sign a lease in order to reside in dwellings. The lease defines the rights and obligations of the occupant and the owner.
The lease agreement also sets the service member`s BAH as a monthly payment to Scott Family Housing. What is the impact of privatization on the service the military receives?
